In the podcasts I've been tuning into during this week's #SF7DC, some recurring themes that have really resonated with me are "empathy" and "authenticity." It's been truly captivating to hear influential individuals from around the world discuss the importance of bringing their authentic selves to their roles, including their expertise, life experiences, motherhood, family, faith, wellbeing (health, happiness, and relationships), belonging, and contributing.

And I am absolutely here for it!

My journey, both professionally and personally, has been quite unconventional. I've faced my fair share of ostracism, abandonment, and isolation. I've been criticised, condemned, and misunderstood. People have questioned why I wanted to become a Police Officer, return to the farm, or become a foster carer for someone else's children. The list goes on.

Despite all of this, I've continued down my own path, often a lonely and obscure one. I'm so grateful that I stayed true to myself, pursued my dreams, and nurtured the people, opportunities, and things within my hands.

Not everyone will understand you, support you, or stand by you, some will, and you must!

Strengthen your support system and bloom wherever you are planted.

Remember, you've got one life! Take the time to address the things that matter to you (little by little!) and embrace the beauty of your true authentic gorgeous self please and thank you!
