I’m Rachel, a fourth-generation farmer who holds an immense passion for Agriculture and our Rural, Regional and Remote communities. I’m an entrepreneur, and my background as a former regional police officer, child protection worker, and as the 2023 recipient of the 'Farmer of the Year: Rural Community Leader (South Australia)' award, demonstrate my dedication, devotional and passion to our incredible people and products.

Over the past twenty-five years, I've dedicated myself to various community roles, including creating and managing community and industry events, and embedding myself within community as the Murrayland’s Children's Choir conductor and manager, and creating and facilitating the 'Living Skills' programme at Mobilong Prison. I adore bringing people together, building community and educating and empowering. Community contribution has also included being part of (speaking and singing) at White Ribbon Days, volunteering at church services and events, and fostering children through the foster care system.

Recently, I've been active in rural community leadership through 'SheFarmer,' an online community I founded for ambitious rural women, providing education, resources, workshops, and a supportive community.

The 'UN International Day of Rural Women – Adelaide' event on October 14, 2023, exists to champion and celebrate the efforts of women in AusAg and the regions. My longstanding relationships have enabled me to create an aligned, powerful and entertaining event, as well as secure guest speakers, panellists, and entertainment.

I'm thrilled to champion rural women's visibility and outcomes, and to work together with 220+ women to create better connection, education, and improved well-being. This is a collective effort to ensure better outcomes for rural women in 2024 and beyond!
